The Easter Bunny is making its way through Jackson County this weekend! Check out all the opportunities your family will have to find some eggs the Easter Bunny leaves behind!

Tom Judd Memorial Eggstra Special Easter Egg Hunt 

Time/Location: 9 a.m. April 3, at Emerson Elementary School in Seymour.

Details: This event is for those with special needs. A hunt for those 0-10 will begin at 9 a.m. and another for those 11-18 will begin at 10 a.m. Bring your own camera for pictures. Kristye Lewis and her miniature therapy horse, Flash, will be there, too. Attendees must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Hand sanitizer will be available. Organized by Special Olympics Indiana Jackson County.

Seymour City Easter Egg Hunt 

Time/Location: 10 a.m. April 3, at Gaiser Park in Seymour.

Details: This hunt is available to those who are 0-12 years old.

Easter Egg Hunt at Freetown Church of Christ

Time/Location: 10:30 a.m. April 3, at Freetown Church of Christ

Details: The hunt is open to kids ages 1 through 5th grade. A pre-package sack lunch will be available following the hunt. In case of rain, the church will have a drive-thru event where kids will get a bag of eggs to take home and everyone will get a prepackaged lunch.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Department Easter Egg Hunt

Time/Location: 11 a.m. April 3, at the grass parking lot just south of the Sheriff’s Department on SR 250. This is the grass lot used for overflow parking during the Jackson County Fair.

Details: Age groups include: 0-3 years old, 4-6 years old, 7-9 years old, 10-12 years old. There are several prizes including two bicycles, toys and Easter baskets for each age group.

Easter Egg Hunt at Kurtz Church of the Nazarene

Time/Location: Noon April 3, at the Kurtz Church of the Nazarene

Details: The Egg Hunt will begin in the side yard of the church. A sack lunch for the kids will be provided.

Easter Egg Hunt and Craft at Starve Hollow

Time/Location: Noon to 4 p.m.

Details: From noon to 3 p.m. there will be an education and socially distanced Easter Egg hunt. Participants should meet at the Forest Education Center prior to noon to receive instructions.
At 3 p.m. there will be an Easter Craft that kids can take home.
At 4 p.m. you can enter your child’s name in the prize basket giveaway. Three baskets will be filled with fun! Must be present to win.

Seymour Christian Church Easter Eggstravaganza

Time/Location: 1 p.m. April 3, at Seymour Christian Church.

Details: There will be Easter egg hunts for various age group, and golden eggs will be placed for big prizes. There also will be an outdoor worship, Chic Fil A tent and outdoor carnival games including a dunk tank.

Easter Egg Hunt at the Jackson County Courthouse

Time/Location: 1 p.m. April 3, at the Jackson County Courthouse

Details: There will be 10,000 eggs for children to find on the courthouse lawn. Prizes will be given to ages 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12. Prizes including bicycles, Easter baskets, plush bunnies and other giveaways. All eggs will be filled with candy including Znickers, Twix, M&Ms, Milky Way, 3 Musketeers and Peanut M&Ms. The Easter Bunny also will attend for photos. Bring your own camera for photographs. Arrive early to sign up for the bicycles.

Easter Egg Hunt at Brownstown First Baptist Church

Time/Location: 4 p.m. April 3, at Brownstown First Baptist Church

Details: the Egg hunt will begin in the lawn at the church.
