Facts/Figures: Bell Ford is the only post-truss covered bridge in
the world. Post-truss is known as the transition or combination from all
wood to the iron bridges. In February 1999, half of this bridge was taken
down due to a storm. Local preservationists are diligently working to
secure funds to renovate this bridge as well as the other two covered bridges
in the county. The preservationists are hopeful the bridge will be fully
restored and carry traffic again. Fundraising efforts are currently
