Oak Heritage Conservancy offers Nature Quest

 In General

Hanover-based Oak Heritage Conservancy is offering the Nature Quest all throughout the Fall of 2020.

It is a free event that families can do together while maintaining distance from others.

The Nature Quest was featured recently in the The Tribune and on Tribtown.com.

The organization will release challenges every other week with themes such as Monarch Migration, Spider Webs and more. There will be a total of eight challenges.

The challenges ask participants to look for animal tracks, draw insect wings, listen for birds, and pay attention to nature. Families can print off the one-page Nature Quest challenge, and head to a nature preserve or park to complete the prompts.

One of the parks partnering with the organization is the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge in Seymour, and challenges can be completed there.

Those who complete all eight challenges will be entered to win a Grande Prize provided by the Muscatatuck Wildlife Society.
