Sip & Stitch – Moxie Coffee Company will host Sip & Stitches, a knitting group, from 10 a.m. to noon, November 6, at the coffee shop, 218 South Chestnut Street, Seymour.

Bourbon Tasting – Vick’s Liquor Store will host a tasting of a George Remus Bourbon Single Barrel selected by the Crude Dudes Whiskey Club at 6 p.m. November 6, at the store, 400 East Tipton Street, Seymour.

Country Neighbors – The Country Neighbors Home for the Holidays home tour will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. November 7, 8, 9, at various home-based businesses in Jackson & Lawrence counties. Stop by the Jackson County Visitor Center for a brochure.

Live music at Brewskies Downtown – Acoustic Crossroads will play at 7 p.m. November 8, at Brewskies Downtown, 117 East Second Street, Seymour.


Saturday, November 9

Frosty Fest – Trinity United Methodist Church will host its annual Frosty Fest craft show from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. November 9, at the church, 333 South Chestnut Street, Seymour.

Museum Mile – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will host the second Museum Mile at 9 a.m. November 9, at the Freeman Field Recreation Area, 2476 State Road 11, Seymour. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. Proceeds go to the museum. Click here to register.

Country Neighbors – The Country Neighbors Home for the Holidays home tour will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. November 7, 8, 9, at various home-based businesses in Jackson & Lawrence counties. Stop by the Jackson County Visitor Center for a brochure.

Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. November 9. Appointments can be scheduled through the week by calling 812-271-1821.

Oil Painting Workshop – The Southern Indiana Center for the Arts will host a Oil Painting Workshop from noon to 3 p.m. November 9, at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour. The cost is $40 for guests, and $30 for members.

Soup Supper – Hamacher Hall will host a chili and vegetable soup supper from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. November 9, at the facility, 211 East Howard Street, Crothersville. The dinner is a freewill donation. Info: Christie – 812-498-7768.

We Will Never Forget Gala – The Lynn Street Colored School & Center for Goodwill will host the We Will Never Forget Gala at 6:30 p.m. November 9, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 504 North Walnut Street, Seymour. The Gala honors all Veterans and will include a dinner, silent auction, and live dessert auction. High School Karaoke Night – Moxie Coffee Company will host high school karaoke night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. November 9, at the coffee shop, 218 South Chestnut Street, Seymour. The theme is ugly sweater and there will be a snack bar available for purchase.

Brownstown – Veterans Day Breakfast & Program, 8 a.m./9:10 a.m., November 11, at Brownstown Central High School.

Seymour Museum Center – The Seymour Museum Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. November 11, for a special Jackson County veterans display.

Craft Time – Moxie Coffee Company will host a free craft from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. November 12, at the coffee shop, 218 South Chestnut Street, Seymour. The theme for the month is Thankful Season.

Front Porch Planter – Jubilee Flowers & Gifts will host a Front Porch Planter Insert Class at 6 p.m. November 12, at the store, 801 West Tipton Street, Seymour. The class will walk participants through how to properly create an insert for front porch pots using Christmas greens. Click here to register.

Open House – Hearts Desire Gift Shop will host its open house from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. November 15, at the store, 230 South Chestnut Street, Seymour.

SpongeBob the Musical – Seymour High School will present SpongeBob the Musical at 7 p.m. November 15, at Seymour High School. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Click here for ticket information.

Live music at On the Rox – Hairbangers Ball – an 80’s Tribute Band, will perform at 11 p.m. November 15, at On the Rox, 214 South Broadway Street, Seymour. There will be a guest opener ta 10 p.m. Tickets are $15.

Mistletoe Market – The Mistletoe Market is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. November 16, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1202 North Ewing Street, Seymour. There will be home décor, boutique clothing, jewelry, handmade items, and more.

Borchers Craft/Vendor Market – The Borchers Craft/Vendor Market will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. November 16, at the church, 10792 North County Road 210E, Seymour.

Christmas Market – Hen & Chicks Barn Market will host a Christmas Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. November 16, at the Three Bin Farm, 5602 East County Road 100N, Seymour.

Children’s Painting Workshop – The Southern Indiana Center for the Arts will host a Children’s Painting Workshop from noon to 3 p.m. November 23, at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour. The cost is $40 for guests, and $30 for members. The workshop is for those first through fifth grade.

Turkey Trot – Girls Inc will host its annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K Walk & 8K Run, at 7:30 a.m. November 28, at the organization, 956 North O’Brien Street, Seymour.


Saturday, November 30

Downtown Shop Around – Seymour Main Street will host its Downtown Shop Around from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Seymour. The day is in conjunction with Shop Small Saturday.

Cozy Little Christmas Country Cruise – The Backroad Gypsies will host the Cozy Little Christmas Country Cruise from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. November 30, at three stops in Redding Township. There will be handcrafted items, boutique, vintage, antiques, and more at the stops. Stop by the Jackson County Visitor Center for a brochure and more information.

Pictures with Santa Fundraiser – Phi Beta Psi will host a Pictures with Santa fundraiser from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. November 30, at Harmony Park by the Brooklyn Pizza Company, 753 West Second Street, Seymour. The pictures are for a freewill donation, and there will be hot cocoa and cookies while guests wait. The fundraiser will go toward the sorority’s national project for cancer research and other local projects.
