Shieldstown Covered Bridge, the fourth and last covered bridge constructed in Jackson County, was built in 1876 and is 355 feet long. The bridge carried traffic until 1980 and is located approximately 1 mile north of Highway 50 west on County Road 200 North. This bridge is currently being renovated.
