The Jackson County German Club will host a Food & Beer Pairing at 6:30 p.m. April 2, at Schwätzer's German Restaurant, 113 Indianapolis Avenue, Seymour. The pairing will include six samples of beer paired with a corresponding German dish. It's $50 per person, and can be paid at Schwätzer's German Restaurant during business hours. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Chasing Bubbles Foundation, and the first 20 paid reservations will include a free tasting glass.

Scout Troop and Cub Scout Pack 526 will host a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. April 5, at the Seymour VFW, 311 South Jackson Park Drive, Seymour. The breakfast will include 2 pancakes, sausage, and a drink. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased in advance at the Jackson County Visitor Center, 100 North Broadway Street, Seymour. The center is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The scouts' pinewood derby will follow the breakfast.
