Brownstown Speedway opened 1952 on Highway 250 at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, one mile southeast of Brownstown. Races are held March through October on the quarter-mile dirt oval track and include different classes. Several special races are held each year, including the Indiana Icebreaker, the Lee Fleetwood Memorial, the Hoosier Dirt Classic, the Jackson 100 and the Jackson County Grand Champion Fair Race. 812-358-5332.
