The Jackson County History Center for more than a decade has combined two former county organizations, the historical society and the genealogical society.
The Ball, Heller and Livery Barn historical museums are open by appointment.
The genealogical library offers family histories, cemetery records and information for those researching family history. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays except holidays and by appointment for those residing more than 50 miles away. Always a good idea to call ahead to check.
