County offices limited to the public

 In Coronavirus, General, Updates

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Matt Reedy – President

Drew Markel – Vice President

Bob Gillaspy – Member

Jackson County Government Offices will be closed to the public from March 19 to April 15 due to the emergency declaration made by Gov. Eric Holcomb  involving COVID-19 (coronavirus).

The public may still conduct business with the county through phone or by email.

A list of phone numbers and emails can be found on www.jacksoncounty.in.gov under the “Government” tab. For those who do not have access to the Internet and need specific office numbers, call 812-358-6161, and your call will be directed to the appropriate office.

In person appointments may be scheduled by phone or email, but must be approved by the office holder.  We ask that the public postpone non-essential business until later.

We encourage the public to follow guidelines distributed by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and ask that you update yourself on those often as guidelines change rapidly.

Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.
