Thursday, June 1
Food Truck & Music Night – Rolling Pig Pin, Stag’s Food Truck, and Sno Biz food trucks will be at the John Mellencamp mural from 4 to 8 p.m. for the Food Trucks & Live Music night. Music will feature Mitch Ellis and be provided by This Old Guitar Music Store. This event is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Mellencamp mural each Thursday in June.
Live music at Reed’s Place – Fred Elam will play at 6 p.m. June 1, at Reed’s Place Steak & Chop Shop, 224 South Chestnut Street, Seymour.
Friday, June 2
Jackson County Antique Machinery Show – The Jackson County Antique Machinery Show will be June 2 and 3, at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, 476 East County Road 100S, Brownstown. This year’s feature is Case and International tractors. All makes and models are welcome and those who attend can browse through the show. Admission is $2, Veterans are free on Friday. The event also includes a tractor drive at 9 a.m. 6/2, pedal pull and barrel train for kids, swat meet, flea market, silent auction, live demonstrations, and a free ham and beans dinner at 6:30 p.m. 6/2.
Friday Night Live – The Southern Indiana Center for the Arts will host Friday Night Live with music from the Hudson Hornets at 7 p.m. June 2, at SICA, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour.
Live music at Poplar Street – Brick Chance will play at 7 p.m. June 2, at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.
Live music at On the Rox – Exotic Species will play at 8 p.m. June 2, at On the Rox, 214 South Broadway Street, Seymour.
Saturday, June 3
Jackson County Antique Machinery Show – The Jackson County Antique Machinery Show will be June 2 and 3, at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, 476 East County Road 100S, Brownstown. Small Town Market and Swap Meet – The Small Town Spring Market & Swap Meet will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 3, at Shields Park, 703 North Park Street, Seymour. Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 3, at 1035 A Avenue, Seymour.
Family Fun Showcase – The Jackson County Visitor Center will host a Family Fun Showcase from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 3, at the visitor center, 100 North Broadway Street, Seymour. This event will feature eight of our attractions and organizations that offer events this summer. You will be able to get information from each to plan your summer of fun. We also will have the WJAA Radio 96.3 Cool Bus here with prizes and serve a free hot dog lunch to the first 100 people.
Rumble at Fort Vallonia – The Rumble at Fort Vallonia car show will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 3, in Vallonia. The day will include the car show, food, and live music.
Food Truck Saturday – Food Truck Saturday will be from 4 to 8 p.m. June 3, at Shields Park, 703 North Park Street, Seymour. There will be music during the event with 10% or $50 of sales going to the Seymour Parks and Recreation Department for programming.
Hornet Special at Brownstown Speedway – The Hornet Special Race will be held June 3, at Brownstown Speedway. The race will feature hornets, ILMS pro late models, super stocks, pure stocks, MMSA mini spirits.
Live music at Brewskies Downtown – Bad Medicine will play at 7 p.m. June 3, at Brewskies Downtown, 117 East Second Street, Seymour.
Live music at Harmony Park – The Tune Smiths will play at 7 p.m. June 3, at Harmony Park next to the Brooklyn Pizza Company, 753 West Second Street, Seymour.
Live music at Poplar Street – Weekend at Bernies will play at 7 p.m. June 3, at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.
Live music at Side Track’d – Clearwater will play at 7 p.m. June 3, at Side Tracked, 1115 West Spring Street, Brownstown.
Comedy Night at Chateau de Pique Winery – National touring comedian Connor Hangsleben will make a stop for Comedy Night at 7 p.m. June 3, at Chateau de Pique Winery & Brewery, 6361 North County Road 760E, Seymour. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by clicking here.
Live music at the Eagles – Dwight Hendrix will play at 7:30 p.m. June 3, at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 122 East Second Street, Seymour.
Monday, June 5
JCYAT Summer Workshop – Jackson County Young Actors Theatre will offer its summer workshop June 5-9, to those age six to 18, at the theatre, 121 West Walnut Street, Brownstown. Participants learn skills including stage basics, movement, projection, diction, characterization, improvisation, and technical aspects. Activities take place at the theatre. Immanuel VBS – Immanuel Lutheran Church will host its annual Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to noon, June 5-9, at the church and school, 605 South Walnut Street, Seymour.

Crothersville Red, White & Blue Festival – The Crothersville Red, White & Blue Festival will be from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 10, in Crothersville. There will be food, vendors, and entertainment.
Airplane Ride Day – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will host Airplane Ride Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 10, at the Seymour Municipal Airport, 1035 A Avenue, Seymour. Plane rides are available for a donation to the museum. The museum also will be open during the event.

Nature Time – The Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge will host its Nature Time Pre School event at 9:30 a.m. at the refuge visitor center, 12985 U.S. 50, Seymour. No pre-registration is required and all little ones are welcome. Each month has a theme with a story and craft.
Thursday, June 15
Seymour City Jam – Seymour Main Street’s Seymour City Jam will feature Chicago Farmer & The Fieldnotes at 6:30 p.m. June 15, at Crossroads Community Park in downtown Seymour. Food, sponsor tables, and drinks will begin at 6 p.m. and everyone is encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
Tractor Pulls – The Grassy Fork Township Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Tractor Pull and Fish Fry will be June 15-17 at the station, 5384 South County Road 450E, Brownstown. There is no cost to attend or park.

Invasive Species Hike – The Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge will host an Invasive Hike at 9 a.m. June 17, at the refuge. Those who attend should meet at the refuge visitor center, and will learn how to identify invasive species.

The event will include international food booths, Knights of Columbus broasted chicken, children’s games, craft booths, entertainment, and more. There will be a 50-50 drawing and reverse raffle. Golf Outing – The Michael D. Healy Memorial Golf Outing will begin at 1 p.m. June 24, at Shadowood Golf Course, 333 North Sandy Creek Drive, Seymour. It’s $80 per player, and $320 per team, with proceeds going to Trinity Lutheran High School athletics. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and lunch is served at noon. Car & Guitars – Cars and Guitars is scheduled from 3 to 8 p.m. June 24, in downtown Seymour! The downtown streets will close around noon. There will be door prizes and more for those who enter. Billy Brown will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. Proceeds from the event will help install handicap-accessible playground equipment.

The week will including Bible lessons, crafts,music, recreation and snacks for children age 4 through 5th grade. Thursday June29 is Family Night with activities for the whole family with hot dogs, chips, drinks and cookies.
