Thursday, May 25

Dine United – The Brooklyn Pizza Company will participate in Dine United from 2:30 to 9 p.m., May 25, at the restaurant, 753 West Second Street, Seymour. 10% of sales during that time will be donated to Jackson County United Way.

Chamber Mixer – Greemann’s Furniture will host a Jackson County Chamber Mixer from 4 to 6 p.m. in the store’s new outdoor space, 211 Carter Street, Seymour. There will be drinks and snacks provided, and everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite tropical attire.

Trivia Night – The Seymour Parks and Recreation Department will host trivia night from 6 to 8 p.m. May 25, at Brewskies Downtown, 117 East Second Street, Seymour. It’s $20 per four-person team, with proceeds going to help pay registration fees for youth sports leagues. Register by calling 812-522-6420, stopping by the office, or clicking here.

Live music at Harmony Park – TriYder will play at 6 p.m. May 25, at Harmony Park, 700 Maple Avenue, Seymour.

Medora Timberjacks – The Medora Timberjacks will host the Cincinnati Warriors at 7 p.m. May 25, at Medora High School.


Friday, May 26

Live music at Poplar Street – Steve Deweese will play at 7 p.m. May 26, at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.

Live music at Rails Craft Brew & Eatery – Forrest Turner will play at 7 p.m. May 26, at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue, in downtown Seymour.

Live music at Seymour Brewing Co. – Brian Hopkins will play at 7 p.m. May 26 at Seymour Brewing Company, 753 West Second Street, Seymour.

Live music at the Eagles – Doug Dillman will play at 7:30 p.m. May 26, at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 122 East Second Street, Seymour.

Live music at the Seymour American Legion – Short Notice will play at 8 p.m. May 26, at the Seymour American Legion Post 89, 402 West Second Street, Seymour.


Saturday, May 27

Pottery for Beginners – SICA will host Pottery for Beginners – Glaze from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. May 27, at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour. There are three classes held on consecutive Saturdays including intro, create, and glazes. Message host Megan Pottschmidt through the SICA Facebook page to inquire. Limited space.

Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday. Appointments can be scheduled outside of public hours by calling 812-271-1821. For more information, visit the website.

Brownstown Speedway – The Bobby Wilson Memorial race is scheduled for May 27, at Brownstown is scheduled. This race will feature Super Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, Hornets. Click here for ticket information and the website.

Live music at Seymour Brewing Co. – Lonesome Crow will play at 7 p.m. May 27 at Seymour Brewing Company, 753 West Second Street, Seymour.

Live music at Meek’s – Misty Marie will play at 8 p.m. May 27, at Meek’s Bar & Grill, 2105 South County Road 750E, Seymour.

Monday, May 29 

Memorial Day Service – The Veteran’s of Foreign Wars of Seymour Post 1925 and Seymour American Legion Post 89 will host a Memorial Day Service at 11 a.m. May 29, at Riverview Cemetery.

Owen Township Roots Festival – The Owen Township Roots Festival will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 29, at the Clearspring Baptist Church. There will be a hog roast, vendors, ice cream, live music, a bounce house, and more. Free ice cream to the first 200 people will be available with the donation of a non-perishable food item. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Clearspring Baptist Church and Clearspring Cemetery Association. The schedule: 11 a.m. booths open and food is available 11:30 a.m.: Ice cream begins, music by Dakota Skiles & Friends 12:30 p.m.: Music by Dane Darlage 1:45 p.m.: Music by Jerry Sawyers & Delbert Wray 2:30 p.m.: Ice cream ends 3 p.m.: Festival ends.

Medora Brick Plant Memorial Day Celebration – The Medora Brick Plant and Historical Sites will host its annual Memorial Day Celebration from 5 to 7 p.m. May 29, at the former plant site, 8202 West County Road 425S, Medora. There will be food, games, live music, and the opportunity to view artifacts and buy merchandise.


Tuesday, May 30

Dine United – Seymour Pizza Palace will participate in Dine United from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., May 30, at the restaurant, 832 West Tipton Street, Seymour. 10% of sales during that time will be donated to Jackson County United Way.


Wednesday, May 31

Seymour Area Farmers Market – The Seymour Area Farmers Market Lite will operate from 8 a.m. to noon May 31, in the farmers market parking lot on Walnut Street in Seymour.

Live music at the Seymour Brewing Co. – Ruben Guthrie will perform at 7 p.m. May 31, at the Seymour Brewing Company, 753 West Second Street, Seymour.
