Thursday, May 11 

Dine United – Blondie’s Pizzeria & Pub will participate in Dine United from 5 to 9 p.m., May 11, at the restaurant, 100 South Main Street. 10% of sales during that time will be donated to Jackson County United Way.


Friday, May 12

Mother’s Day Open House – The Little Lavender Place will host its Mother’s Day open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 12 & 13 at the store, 10522 North 300E, Seymour.

 Fruhlingsfest – The Knights of Columbus Council 1252’s Fruhlingsfest is from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. May 12 & 13, in the B&O parking lot in downtown Seymour. The festival will include food, shopping vendors, craft vendors, live music, entertainment and more. Click here for our complete guide.

Car Show – The Hotrods & Academics Cruise In will be from 5 to 8 p.m. May 12, at Seymour High School. This event benefits the Seymour High School CARR Club.

Live music at Rails Craft Brew & Eatery – Dave Campbell will play at 7 p.m. May 12, at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue, in downtown Seymour.

Medora Timberjacks – The Medora Timberjacks will host the Kokomo Bobcats at 7 p.m. May 12, at Medora High School.

Live music at Poplar Street – Brian Fink will play at 7 p.m., May 12, at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.

Live music at the Eagles – Fred & Steve will play at 7:30 p.m. May 12, at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 122 East Second Street, Seymour.


Saturday, May 13

Mother’s Day Craft Show – Stuckwish Farm Market will host its annual Mother’s Day Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 13, at the market, 4683 South State Road 135, Vallonia. There will be local vendors, food, and entertainment. For vendor information, call Ryan at 812-569-1825.

Medora Community Farmers Market – The Medora Community Farmers Market will operate from 9 a.m. to noon, May 13, at Medora Town Park.

Pottery for Beginners – SICA will host Pottery for Beginners – Intro from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. May 13, at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour. There are three classes held on consecutive Saturdays including intro, create, and glazes. Message host Megan Pottschmidt through the SICA Facebook page to inquire. Limited space.

Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday. Appointments can be scheduled outside of public hours by calling 812-271-1821. For more information, visit the website.

Wings Over Muscatatuck – The Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge will host its annual Wings Over Muscatatuck event at 10:30 a.m. May 13, at the refuge. The event will include tours, a plant sale, silent auction, refreshments, activities, exhibits, and bookstore sale.

Golf Scramble – The Seymour Drillers baseball team will host a golf scramble with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. at Shadowood Golf Course, 333 North Sandy Creek Drive, Seymour. It’s $75 per player or $300 per team.

Mother’s Day Tea Party – The Redeemer Lutheran Church’s Board of Evangelism is hosting a Mother’s Day Tea Party from 2 to 4 p.m. May 13, at the church, 504 North Walnut Street, Seymour. The event will feature tea, games, prizes, raffles, lunch and sweet confections. Tickets are $8 for those 5-17 and $12 for those 18 and older. Tables of 6 are available for $50. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the church office at 812-522-1837, Carol Caudell 812-525-6497, or Maggie Schepman at 317-847-9058.

Plants for Puppies – Norah’s Vegetables will be giving away hundreds of vegetable plants at 4 p.m. May 13, at Harmony Park next to the Brooklyn Pizza Company, 753 West Second Street, Seymour. Freewill donations will be accepted and donated to the Humane Society of Jackson County.

Open Mic at Chateau de Pique – Buck Knawe will host open mic night from 5 to 7 p.m. May 13, at Chateau de Pique Winery & Brewery, 6361 North County Road 760E, Seymour.

Brownstown Speedway – Race night at Brownstown is scheduled for May 13. This race will feature  Super Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Hornets, Crown Vics. Click here for ticket information and the website.

Live music at the Seymour Brewing Co. – Arianna & Anna will perform at 7 p.m. May 13, at the Seymour Brewing Company, 753 West Second Street, Seymour.

Live music at Rails Craft Brew & Eatery – Live music will play at 7 p.m. May 13, at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue, in downtown Seymour.

Live music at Side Track’d – Noah Reynolds will play at 7 p.m. at Side Track’d, 1115 West Spring Street, Brownstown.

Live music at Poplar Street – Rich Hampton will play at 7 p.m., May 13, at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.
