It’s the final weekend in June and there’s plenty of fun this weekend! Check out everything you need to know to have a great weekend here in Jackson County!

Thursday, June 27

SICA Open Hours – SICA will be open for regular hours, 1 to 6 p.m. June 27. There’s also the opportunity to work on art during the open hours. While there will be no formal instruction, this time will allow artists and those interested in art to gather and collaborate. For more information call or text 812-522-2278.

Live music at Harmony Park – Charlie Morgan & Friends will play at 6 p.m. June 27, at Harmony Park, 753 West Second Street, Seymour.


Friday, June 28

Friday Night Live – Bad Medicine will play Friday Night Live at 7 p.m. June 28, at the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts, 2001 North Ewing Street in Seymour. There also will be food and art during the event. Those who attend are welcome to bring coolers and lawn chairs.

Live music at Poplar Street – Brad Treadway will play at 7 p.m. June 28, at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.

Live music at On the Rox – Ruben Guthrie will play at 8 p.m. June 28, at On the Rox, 214 South Broadway Street, Seymour.

Live music at Harmony Park – The 78s will play at 6 p.m. June 28, at Harmony Park, 753 West Second Street, Seymour.


Saturday, June 29

Seymour Area Farmers Market – The Seymour Area Farmers Market will operate from 8 a.m. to noon, June 29, in the farmers market lot off Walnut Street in Seymour.

Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday. Appointments can be scheduled through the week by calling 812-271-1821.

Brownstown Speedway – Brownstown Speedway will host a race June 15, at Brownstown Speedway, 476 East County Road 100S, Brownstown. The Race will include Pure Stocks, ILMS Pro Late Models, Super Stocks, Crown Vics, and Hornets.

Live music at Harmony Park – Bobby Clark will play at 6 p.m. June 29, at Harmony Park, 753 West Second Street, Seymour.

Live music at the Bearded Hobo – Bad Weather will perform at 6 p.m. June 29, at The Bearded Hobo, 1029 West Commerce Street, Brownstown. Tickets are $5. Lawn chairs are permitted.

Live music at Chateau de Pique – Buck Knawe will play from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. June 29, at Chateau de Pique Winery & Brewery, 6361 North County Road 760E, Seymour.

Comedy Night Chateau de Pique – Next Stop Comedy will host a stand up comedy show featuring multiple comedians at 7 p.m. June 29, at Chateau de Pique Winery & Brewery, 6361 North County Road 760E, Seymour. Click here for tickets.
