This weekend is filled with quite the variety of things to do here in Jackson County. Plus, we’ve added a few events for next week as well. It’s also supposed to be warm this weekend, so be sure to get out and enjoy Jackson County!

Thursday, April 21

SICA Art Club – Join the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts’ Art Club from 2 to 7 p.m. at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour. Bring what you’ve been working on and enjoy the company of other artists.


Friday, April 22

Trivia Night – It’s trivia night at Immanuel Lutheran School from 7 to 9 p.m. at the school, 520 South Chestnut Street, Seymour.  It’s $10 per person, and $60 for tables of six. Contact the school at 812-523-2186 for tickets or more details.  This event benefits the school’s the Marine Biology Trip to the Florida Keys.  There will be prizes for winners.

Live music at Seymour Brewing Co. – Kolton Norton will perform from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Seymour Brewing Company, 735 West Second Street, Seymour. 

JCCT Show – Jackson County Community Theatre will present ‘Sylvia’ with a show at 7:30 p.m. at the Royal-Off-the-Square Theatre, 121 West Walnut Street, Brownstown. Ticket information can be found at jcct.org. 


Saturday, April 23

Boutique Bash – The Crothersville girls volleyball team will host the Boutique Bash at the Crothersville Junior-Senior High School, 109 Preston Street, Crothersville. The event will feature local clothing boutiques, handmade items, plants, food, jewelry and so much more. There also will be door prizes and items for silent auction.

Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1035 A Avenue, Seymour. Be sure to check out this wonderful place that is open each Saturday!

Seymour Area Cruisers Spring Cruise In – The Seymour Area Cruisers will meet for the Spring Cruise In at Sonic Drive In, 811 West Tipton Street, Seymour.

Race – It’s race night at Brownstown Speedway! Be sure to stop by the track and see the Pro Late Models, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, Hornets, and Crown Vics. View the full schedule and get ticket information at brownstownspeedway.com.

Live music at Seymour Brewing Co. – Past Tense will perform from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Seymour Brewing Company, 735 West Second Street, Seymour. 

Live music at Brewskies Downtown – Steve Deweese will perform at 7 p.m. at Brewskies Downtown, 117 East Second Street, Seymour.

Live music at Fraternal Order of the Eagles – Join the Vocal & Local Concert at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles! This concert has a large line up including Rusty Bladen, Derick Howard, I-Hoot Von Woot, 70 Unknowns, Brad Cole & Heather McGrath, Harvey Adams, Ethan Howard, Michael Staublin, and Hagan Reynolds.

Trivia Night at Poplar Street Restaurant – Patty Brothers Entertainment will host its spring trivia series at 7 p.m. Wednesdays at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour. The series is five straight weeks and each week will be a different theme. This week is sports!
