Medora Christmas Festival and Parade – Schedule of Events

The Medora Christmas Festival and Parade is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 4 in Medora. The event officially kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday, December 3, with the Christmas Tree lighting, cookies and carols in front of the Jackson County Public Library in Medora.

This holiday tradition dates back to 1972 and will feature vendors, food, entertainment, a parade and so much more. Here’s the schedule of events!

Saturday, December 4

9 a.m. – Craft, food, and flea market vendors open until 4 p.m.

9 a.m. – Jerry and Amber Henson perform on stage.

10 a.m. – Donna and Wes Griffin perform on stage.

11 a.m. – Tapp’d Tap Dancing Group in front of stage.

11 a.m. – Refreshments and gift card drawing at Hague Funeral Home, until 3 p.m.

Noon – Crowning of the Prince and Princess.

1 p.m. – 49th annual Medora Christmas Parade. Opening prayer and National Anthem by Morris Tippin. Grand Marshal: Paul Carr.

After Parade: Selfies with Santa and cookies with Mrs. Claus at Medora Senior Citizen Center.

8 p.m. – Christmas Ball until midnight at Carr Township Conservation Clubhouse. Music by Cody Ikerd and The Sidewinders, Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest, Door Prizes, Silent Auction, 50/50 drawing.
