Thursday, October 12

Fun Fest – Brownstown Speedway will host its annual Fun Fest October 12-October 15, at the speedway. Click here for a full schedule of events.


Friday, October 13

Pumpkin Painting – The Jackson County Public Library in Crothersville will host a pumpkin painting class for grades K-5 at 3:30 p.m. October 13, at the library, 120 East Main Street, Crothersville. The event is limited to 15, and registration is available by clicking here.

Ghouls & Goblets – Seymour Main Street will host the 6th annual Ghouls & Goblets from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. October 13, in downtown Seymour. There will be 10+ breweries and wineries, plus four spooky story locations in the downtown. Click here for tickets.

Ride – There will be a Golf Cart and Side-by-Side ride at 7 p.m. October 13, leaving from the Medora Cafe in Medora. Participants should line up before 6 p.m. and then judging will take place at 6 p.m. before the ride leaves.

Live music at Poplar Street – Past Tense will play from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. October 13, at Poplar Street Restaurant.

Live music at Seymour Brewing Company – Rich Hampton will play at 7 p.m. October 13, at the Seymour Brewing Company.


Saturday, October 14

Pancake Breakfast – The Brownstown Exchange Club will host its annual pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. October 14, at Brownstown Central High School, 500 North Elm Street, Seymour.

HOPE Medora Goes Pink – HOPE Medora Goes Pink will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. October 14, in Medora. The day will feature vendors, food, entertainment, a parade, and more. All proceeds go to help those who are battling cancer. Since its inception, the festival has raised more than $240,000.

Houston Fall Festival – The Houston Fall Festival will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. October 14, at the old Houston school house. The day will feature vendors, food, entertainment, and more.

Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 14, at 1035 A Avenue, Seymour.

Log Cabin Day – The Muscatatuck Wildlife Society will host Log Cabin Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 14, at Myers Family Cabin within the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, 12985 East U.S. 50, Seymour. The event is free and will include old-time entertainment, storytelling, cabin tour, pioneer demonstrations, children’s activities, shuttle rides to the closed area of the refuge, chore-corral, and free ham and beans. Seymour Museum Center – The Seymour Museum Center will be open for its regular hours from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 14, at 220 North Chestnut Street, Seymour.

Stuckwisch Pumpkin Patch U Pick – The Stuckwisch Pumpkin Patch will host its U Pick weekend from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. October 14 & October 15, at the pumpkin patch, 1416 State Road 11, Seymour. There will be pumpkin picking, hayrides, animals, corn maze, Kovener’s Korner and Lola’s Modern Kitchen. It’s only $5 for a family pass.

Arby’s Fall Cruise In – The Arby’s Fall Cruise In will be from noon to 3 p.m. October 14, in the B&O Parking Lot in downtown Seymour. It’s $15 to enter. Information: 812-522-1133 or cbird@inspirebrands.com.

Stuckwisch Pumpkin Patch U Pick – The Stuckwisch Pumpkin Patch will host its U Pick weekend from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. October 14 & October 15, at the pumpkin patch, 1416 State Road 11, Seymour. There will be pumpkin picking, hayrides, animals, corn maze, Kovener’s Korner and Lola’s Modern Kitchen. It’s only $5 for a family pass.
