Live music at Brewskies Downtown – ColeShine will play at 7 p.m. October 5, at Brewskies Downtown, 117 East Second Street, Seymour.

Live music at the Eagles – Fred & Steve will play at 7:30 p.m. October 5, at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 122 East Second Street, Seymour.

5K – The Oktoberfest 5K will be at 8 a.m. October 7, at Seymour High School.

Swifty Fall Festival – Swifty Events Center will host a Fall Festival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 7, at 351 South U.S. 31, Seymour. The day will include vendors, food, bouncey houses, trolly ride, kids games, pumpkin pick up, pony rides, and music. It’s $20 per car to enter, call Valerie at 812-528-9051.

Crothersville Fish Fry – The Crothersville History & Cultural Arts Association will host a fish fry from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. October 7, at Hamacher Hall, 211 East Howard Street, Crothersville. There will be a fresh flower arrangement giveaway by MM Designs. Information: 812-498-7768.

Nightmare on Tipton Street – The Nightmare on Tipton Street will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. October 7, at Wal Mart Supercenter in Seymour. There will be candy, pumpkin painting, glow sticks, food, and more. Proceeds will go to Riley Children’s Hospital.

Race – It’s Championship Night at Brownstown Speedway. There will be super late models, ILMS Pro Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Hornets.

Sunday, October 8

Wegan October Supper – St. Paul Lutheran Church Wegan will host its annual October Supper from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. October 8, at the church, 1165 East County Road 400S, Brownstown. It will be drive thru only for a free will donation.

Pumpkin Painting – The Jackson County Public Library in Medora will host a pumpkin painting class for grades K-5 at 3:30 p.m. October 10, at the library, 27 Main Street, Medora. The event is limited to 10, and registration is available by clicking here.


Wednesday, October 11

Nature Time – The Nature Time Pre School event will be at 9:30 a.m. October 11, at Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, 12985 East U.S. 50, Seymour. There will be a different theme each month. No registration required.

Nature Explorer’s Club – The Nature Explorer’s Club will meet at 5 p.m. October 11, at the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, Seymour. The group meets each week for 12 weeks with a different theme, story, snack, song, activity, hike, journal, and play. Click here to sign up.
