This weekend kicks off the festival season in Jackson County, so it will be great food, great vendors, entertainment, rides and activities for the kids and more!

You also have the opportunity to ride in an airplane this weekend, participate in a boat race and catch some awesome live music!

Thursday, June 10

Festival kicks off – The 46th annual Crothersville Red, White and Blue Festival is scheduled from June 10 through June 12. Everything you need to know is in our blog from from earlier this week, so click here to read it. There is a a lot to do at this festival including rides!


Friday, June 11

Golf time – The Brownstown Ewing Main Street Golf Scramble is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Hickory Hills Golf Course. Check out their website for more information.

Live music at Rails – Taylor Hernly will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery.

Live music at On the Rox – Acoustic Crossroads will play at 8 p.m. at On the Rox.


Saturday, June 12

Farmers MarketThe Seymour Area Farmers Market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon in the Walnut Street Parking Lot.

Saturday is the biggest day of the festival, so don’t miss out on the parade, entertainment and other activities for the whole family.

Fly above Seymour – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum’s Airplane Ride Day is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s $20 per person for a ride in a plane, which will benefit the museum. The museum will be open and planes and military vehicles and other items will be on display. Watch our video that shows what it will be like and all you need to know!

Shop small – Seymour Main Street’s Downtown Shop Around is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Visit area businesses for a chance to win prizes.

Spin the records – Visit 13th Floor for Record Store Day where they will have special and collectable releases! They’re open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Boat race – The Alex Rust Regatta will take place at 10:30 a.m. at 5201 East County Road 525N in Seymour. Register for this event.

Racing – Brownstown Speedway will race this week at 6 p.m. Pro Late Models, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, Crown Vics, Hornets.

Concert series kickoff – The Brownstown Ewing Main Street Summer Concert Series will kick off at 6 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Park in Brownstown with a performance by Cody Ikerd and the Sidewinders with special guest Forrest Turner. TJ’s BBQ and Seymour Brewing Company will be serving up all you need to eat and drink.

Live music at the VFW – Rich Hampton will play at 7 p.m. at the Seymour VFW.

Live Music at Jackson Live – Greg Perkins, David Graves, Courtney Arnold, and Millie Meunier will play at 7 p.m. at Jackson Live. For tickets, call 812-521-1282. Adults $15 and those under 12 are free.

Live music at Rails – Mitch Ellis will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery.

Live music at Harmony Park – The Why Store will play at 7:30 p.m. at Harmony Park next to the Brooklyn Pizza Company. It’s $10 at the gate and the show is for those 21+. Steve Deweese will open the show.

Live music at Luke’s Country Inn – Ruben Guthrie will play at 8 p.m. at Luke’s Country Inn.
