This weekend you will find an antique farm machinery show, car show, fishing opportunities, live music, wrestling and more! What a combination that is!

Thursday, June 3

Best Random Knowledge Wins – Patty Bros Entertainment will host Trivia Night at 6 p.m. Thursday at Harmony Park next to the Brooklyn Pizza Company. There is no cost to attend, and teams are made up of up to six members. It’s open to all ages. There also are trivia nights on June 17, July 1, July 15 and July 29.


Friday, June 4

Farm Machinery Show – The 12th annual Jackson County Antique Machinery Show will start beginning at 9 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday at the Jackson County Fairgrounds. Admission is $2 and this years’ show features Oliver and Minneapolis Moline Built Tractors, Garden Tractors and Equipment. All makes and models are welcome. A ham and beans dinner with music is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Friday. This event includes a swap meet, flea market, silent auctions, live demonstrations, children’s activities, tractor drive, tractor games, open cruise and more.

Live music at Rails – Adam Crabtree will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery.

Friday Night Live – Bad Medicine will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts.

Movie night – The Seymour Chamber of Commerce’s Stardust Move Series will continue at the Boys and Girls Club of Seymour. Angels in the Outfield will be offered up, so bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the show. It starts around 8 p.m.

Live music at Poplar Street – Rich Hampton will perform beginning at 8 p.m. Friday at Poplar Street Restaurant

Live music at the American Legion – Southern Compromise will perform at 8 p.m. at the American Legion Post 89 in Seymour.


Saturday, June 5

Farmers MarketThe Seymour Area Farmers Market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon in the Walnut Street Parking Lot.

Fish without a license – Residents of Indiana may fish public waters without a license on Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6, as part of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources’ Free Fishing Weekend. Public waters in Jackson County include Cypress Lake in Seymour, Hoosier National Forest ponds, Jackson Washington State Forest, Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, Starve Hollow State Recreation Area and the public access points on the East Fork White River and Muscatatuck River.

5K – Crothersville Boys Scouts Troop 522 is hosting the Troop Trot 5K Run/Walk at 9 a.m. at Bard Street Park in Crothersville. It is $25 the day of the race with a shirt and $15 without a shirt.

Ride for a Cause – The Backroads Ridin’ for a Cause is set for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at 8382 West County Road 75S in Medora. This year the ride will benefit the Don and Dana Myers Cancer Center. It’s open to side-by-sides, Jeeps, and ATVs. Lunch and registration is at 1:30 p.m. and the ride begins at 3 p.m.

Car show & concert – Driftwood Township VFD will present the Rumble at Fort Vallonia Car Show and Concert from 3 to 11 p.m. Saturday. There will be a fish fry from noon to 8 p.m. and the cruise in begins at 3 p.m. while music begins at 5 p.m. Six Ways to Sunday and the Crane Hill Band will perform.

Euchre tourney – The Pershing Township Lion Club is hosting a soup supper and euchre tournament beginning at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at 6807 N. Union Street, Freetown. The supper is $5 and it’s $5 to participate in the tournament.

Concert Tribute – Kill’n Smalls will perform at 6:30 p.m. at Harmony Park next to the Brooklyn Pizza Company. The band will perform some songs by The Elms and a mural for the former Seymour band will be unveiled. There is no cost to attend.

Live music at Poplar Street – John Whitcomb will perform beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday at Poplar Street Restaurant

Live music at Rails – Ethan Howard will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery.

Live Music at Jackson Live – Joe Hampton Classic Country Show will begin at 7 p.m. at Jackson Live. For tickets, call 812-521-1282. Adults $15 and those under 12 are free.

Wrestling – Supreme Wrestling will host a wrestling match at 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus in Seymour. Tickets are $12 at the door, or $10 in advance. Drinks and concessions will be available.

Sing your song – Brewskies Downtown will host a karaoke and DJ night from 8 to 11 p.m. at the restaurant.


Sunday, June 6
