Thursday, June 30

SICA Art Club – Join the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts’ Art Club from 2 to 7 p.m. at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour. Bring what you’ve been working on and enjoy the company of other artists.

Live music at Reed’s Place – Fred Elam will play from 6 to 8 p.m. at Reed’s Place Steak & Chop Shop, 224 South Chestnut Street.


Friday, July 1

Friday Night Live – Brad Treadway will perform at 7 p.m. for Friday Night Live at Southern Indiana Center for the Arts’ , 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers for this free event.

Live music at Poplar Street Restaurant – Rich Hampton will play at 7 p.m. at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.

Live music at Rails – Soul Shine will play at 7 p.m. at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue, Seymour.


Saturday, July 2

Seymour Area Farmers Market – The Seymour Area Farmers Market will operate from 8 a.m. to noon in the Walnut Street Parking Lot in Seymour.

Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1035 A Avenue, Seymour. Be sure to check out this wonderful place that is open each Saturday!

Race – It’s race night at Brownstown Speedway! Be sure to stop by the track and see the Pro Late Models, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, Hornets, and Crown Vics. View the full schedule and get ticket information at brownstownspeedway.com.

Live music at Poplar Street Restaurant – Bad Medicine will play at  8 p.m. at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.

Live music at Rails – Doug Dillman will play at 7 p.m. at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue, Seymour.

Live music at Harmony Park – The Why Store will play at 7 p.m. at Harmony Park at the Brooklyn Pizza Company 753 West Second Street, Seymour. Click here for tickets.


Sunday, July 3

Freedom Celebration – The Medora Pentecostal Church will host a Freedom Celebration from 4 p.m. until sundown at the Medora Town Park, the corner of George and First streets. The event will include vendors, food trucks, a parade, Touch A Truck exhibit, games, pony rides, entertainment and a moment to honor police officers, fire fighters, EMT personnel and first responders. The event will end with fireworks at sun down.


Monday, July 4

Fourth of July Celebration – The city of Seymour will host a Fourth of July celebration with activities planned at parks in Seymour. There will be a corn hole tournament at 3 p.m. at Freeman Recreational Facility. The Fabulous Hickbillies will play at 7 p.m. until dark at Freeman Recreational Facility and fireworks will begin at sundown.

Wednesday, July 6

SICA Art Club – Join the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts’ Art Club from 2 to 7 p.m. at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour. Bring what you’ve been working on and enjoy the company of other artists.

Wednesday Evening Rides – Join the Jackson County Bicycle Club for its Wednesday Evening Ride. The group will leave at 6 p.m. from Central Christian Church, 1434 West Second Street from the parking lot facing Westgate Road. This week’s ride is 6.5 miles. The group increases each week by a half mile until they reach 10-mile rides each week through October. Visit the Facebook group for updates and more information.
