Seymour Area Farmers Market – The Seymour Area Farmers Market will operate from 8 a.m. to noon July 8, at the farmers market parking lot off Walnut Street.

Medora Community Farmers Market – The Medora Community Farmers Market will operate from 9 a.m. to noon, July 8, at Medora Town Park.

Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 8, at 1035 A Avenue, Seymour.

Senior 107 Club Meeting – The Seymour Senior 107 Club will meet at 11 a.m. July 8, at the Seymour Community Center, 107 South Chestnut Street. The social hour begins at 11 a.m. followed by the pitch-in lunch at noon. The rest of the meeting will include games and prizes. The club is open to those 50 and older. Information: 317-617-6800.

Medora Freedom Celebration – The Medora Pentecostal Church will host the Medora Freedom Celebration from 2 p.m. to dark at the Medora Town Park. The event will include food trucks, vendors, live entertainment, a touch-a-truck display, car show, military tribute (5 p.m.), kids games (6 to 8 p.m.), and fireworks. The fireworks will begin at dark and the event will conclude after. The rain date is scheduled for July 8.

Race Night – The Brownstown Speedway’s race will begin around 6 p.m. July 8, at the speedway, 476 East County Road 100S, Brownstown. This race will feature ILMS Pro Late Models, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, Crown Vics, and Hornets. Click here for tickets and information.

Best of Cluck – Stephanie Strohmann will present the Best of Cluck at 4:30 p.m. July 10, at the Seymour location of the Jackson County Public Library, 303 West Second Street, Seymour. This class will teach those who attend the basics of keeping chickens. Registration is for those 18 and over, and is required by 7/7.

Nature Time – The Nature Time Pre-School event will be at 9:30 a.m. July 12, at Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, 12985 East U.S. 50, Seymour. Pre-registration is not required, and there is a theme each week. This session meets at the refuge visitor center.
