Thursday, August 10

Trivia Night – Patty Brothers Entertainment will host Trivia Night at 6 p.m., August 10, at Harmony Park next to the Brooklyn Pizza and Seymour Brewing Co.

The Wall that Heals – The Wall that Heals, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Replica & Mobile Education Center, will be on display from August 10 – August 13, at the Jackson County Fairgrounds. It’s free to attend, but donations are welcome. The display will be open 24/7. There will be an opening ceremony at 10 a.m. at the wall.


Friday, August 11

The Wall that Heals – The Wall that Heals, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Replica & Mobile Education Center, will be on display from August 10 – August 13, at the Jackson County Fairgrounds. It’s free to attend, but donations are welcome. The display will be open 24/7.
Seymour Swing – The third annual Seymour Swing – Putting for Parks will be held at 8 a.m. at Shadowood Golf Course, 333 North Sandy Creek Drive, Seymour. Registration is from 7 a.m. to tee time at 8 a.m. The outing is organized by the Seymour Parks and Recreation Department with proceeds going to install ADA compliant playground equipment for city parks. Covered Bridge Car Show – Covered Bridge Health Campus will host a car show from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. August 11, at the facility, 1675 West Tipton Street, Seymour. The event will include Lola’s Modern Kitchen and Kona Ice as well as the WJAA Radio 96.3 Cool Bus. There will be a Resident Choice Award. Live music at Racin’ Mason – Justyn Underwood will play at 6 p.m. August 11, at Racin’ Mason Pizza & Fun Zone, 369 Tanger Boulevard, Seymour. 

Live music at Harmony Park – Michael Staublin will play at 6:30 p.m. August 11, at Harmony Park outside the Brooklyn Pizza Co., 753 West Second Street, Seymour.

Live music at Poplar Street – Brad Treadway will play at 7 p.m. August 11, at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.

Live music at Side Track’d – Clearwater will play at 7 p.m. August 11, at Side Track’d, 1115 West Spring Street, Brownstown.

Live music at Rails – Soul Shine will play at 7 p.m. August 11, at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue, Seymour.

Live music at the Eagles – Fred & Steve will play at 7:30 p.m. August 11, at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 122 East Second Street, Seymour.


Saturday, August 12

The Wall that Heals – The Wall that Heals, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Replica & Mobile Education Center, will be on display from August 10 – August 13, at the Jackson County Fairgrounds. It’s free to attend, but donations are welcome. The display will be open 24/7.

Seymour Area Farmers Market – The Seymour Area Farmers Market will operate from 8 a.m. to noon August 12, at the farmers market parking lot off Walnut Street.

Golf Scramble – The Seymour Firefighters Local 577 will host its annual golf scramble at 8 a.m. August 12, at Shadowood Golf Course, 333 North Sandy Creek Drive, Seymour. Everyone who plays is eligible for the prize raffle at the end of the event. Proceeds go to Supporting Heroes, Hoosier Burn Camp, Cops and Kids, Boys and Girls Club and  to support First Responders experiencing tragedies within their families.

Medora Farmers Market – The Medora Community Farmers Market will operate from 9 a.m. to noon, August 12, at Medora Town Park.

Craft Show – The New Beginnings Craft Show is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. August 12, at 1039 North O’Brien Street, Seymour. The event will include multiple vendors and food. Information: newbeginningscogseymour@gmail.com.

Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. August 12, at 1035 A Avenue, Seymour.

Euchre Tournament – The Pershing Township Lions Club will host its Euchre Tournament and Soup Supper beginning at 4:30 p.m. August 12, at the Senior Citizens Center, 6807 North Union Street, Freetown. Serving for the meal will begin at 4:30 p.m. and the tournament will begin at 6 p.m. The cost is $5 for the meal and $5 for the tournament.

Bustock – WJAA Radio 96.3 will host its annual Bustock music festival at 6 p.m. August 12, at Crossroads Community Park in downtown Seymour. Bad Medicine will play at 6 p.m. and then The Damn Torpedoes, a Tom Petty Tribute band will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. There will walking tacos, chili dogs, root beer, and beer from Seymour Brewing Company.

Live music at Poplar Street – Rich Hampton will play at 7 p.m. August 12, at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.

Live music at Side Track’d – The Fly By the Night Band will play at 7 p.m. August 12, at Side Track’d, 1115 West Spring Street, Brownstown.

Live music at Rails – Doug Dillman will play at 7 p.m. August 12, at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue, Seymour.

Live music at Meek’s – The Misty Marie Duo will play at 8 p.m. August 12, at Meek’s Bar & Grill, 2105 South County Road 750E, Seymour.


Sunday, August 13

The Wall that Heals – The Wall that Heals, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Replica & Mobile Education Center, will be on display until 2 p.m. August 13, at the Jackson County Fairgrounds. It’s free to attend, but donations are welcome. The display will be open 24/7. There will be an closing ceremony at 1:45 p.m. at the wall.

Auditions – Actors Community Theatre of Seymour will host auditions for its presentation of ‘Four Old Broads’ at 6 p.m. August 13, at the theatre, 357 Tanger Boulevard. The show dates are November 3, 4, 10, 11.
