SICA Art Club – Join the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts’ Art Club from 2 to 7 p.m. at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour. Bring what you’ve been working on and enjoy the company of other artists.


Friday, September 2

Friday Night Live – Local favorite Bad Medicine will play from 7 to 9 p.m. for Friday Night Live at the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts’, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour.

Live music at Poplar Street Restaurant – Colt Weinhorst will play at 7 p.m. at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.

Live music at Rails – Forrest Turner will play at 7 p.m. at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue, Seymour.

Live music at The Eagles – Adam Crabtree will play at 7:30 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 122 East Second Street, Seymour.


Saturday, September 3

Jackson County Horseshoe Tournament – The 56th annual Jackson County Horseshoe Tournament will be at 9 a.m. at Gaiser Park. There are qualifying rounds from 5 to 8 p.m. on September 1 and 2. For information, call Glenn Hollin at 812-498-7652.

Seymour Area Farmers Market – The Seymour Area Farmers Market Market Lite fall season will operate from 9 a.m. to noon in the Walnut Street Parking Lot in Seymour.

Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1035 A Avenue, Seymour. Be sure to check out this wonderful place that is open each Saturday!

Race – The Buckeye Outlaw Sprint will be held at Brownstown Speedway! Be sure to stop by the track and see the BOSS Non-Wing Sprint Cars, Pro Late Models, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, Hornets, and Crown Vics. View the full schedule and get ticket information at brownstownspeedway.com.

Live music at Harmony Park –  She Loves Horses – a Tom Petty Tribute Band will play at 7 p.m. at Harmony Park at the Brooklyn Pizza Company 753 West Second Street, Seymour. Advance tickets are available for $15 at the Seymour Brewing Company, and are $20 online. 

Live music at Poplar Street Restaurant – Patrick Boyd will play at 7 p.m. at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.

Wednesday Evening Rides – Join the Jackson County Bicycle Club for its Wednesday Evening Ride. The group will leave at 6 p.m. from Central Christian Church, 1434 West Second Street from the parking lot facing Westgate Road. This week’s ride is 10 miles. The group will ride 10 miles every Wednesday through October. Visit the Facebook group for updates and more information.
