It’s the biggest weekend of the year in downtown Seymour as the Seymour Oktoberfest returns for the 48th year and the first time since 2019. There’s also so much else to do all throughout Jackson County.

Thursday, September 30

Seymour Oktoberfest – It’s back! The busiest weekend in downtown Seymour kicks off September 30 and ends Saturday, October 2 with the Seymour Oktoberfest! This great tradition is back and is sure to be fun! Check out our complete guide to the Oktoberfest by clicking here.

Oktoberfest at Rails – Rails Craft Brew and Eatery. is offering up its own Oktoberfest celebration on its patio from 5 p.m. to midnight! Check it out September 30-October 2. This event is 21+ and includes a drink menu, beer, food and music.

Live Music at Brewskies Downtown – Lonesome Crow will play at Brewskies Downtown from 7 to 10 p.m.

Live Music at the Moose 418 – Past Tense will perform at 8 p.m. at the Moose Lodge 418 in Seymour.


Friday, October 1

BCHS Football – The Brownstown Central High School football team will host Indian Creek High School at 7 p.m.

Live Music at Brewskies Downtown – Six Ways to Sunday will play at Brewskies Downtown from 7 to 11 p.m.

Fear Fair – Indiana’s Scariest Haunted House will offer haunts from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Order tickets by clicking here.

Live Music at Poplar Street – Soul Express will perform at 8 p.m. at Poplar Street Restaurant.

Movie Night at Tiemeyer’s Farm Market – Tiemeyer’s Farm Market will show “Scooby Doo” and then “The Corpse Bride” for movie night. Movies are free and start at dusk. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs.

Haunted Trail and Corn Maze – Tiemeyer’s Timber Terrors will offer up its haunted trail and corn maze at Tiemeyer’s Farm Market. All the haunted will being at dusk. Admission is $15 for the trail and $10 for the maze.


Saturday, October 2

Farmers Market – The Seymour Area Farmers Market will be open from 9 a.m. to noon in the Walnut Street Parking Lot.

Cookout and Yard Sale Fundraiser – The Vernon Township Volunteer Fire Department will host a Fall yard Sale and Cookout from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 200 Moore Street, Crothersville. They will serve fish, tenderloins and fries. Sandwiches are $5, fries are $2 and sodas are $1. Get a dinner bundle for $7!

Seymour Oktoberfest – The final day of Seymour Oktoberfest fun! This day will feature the 5K and Parade! It runs September 30-October 2. This great tradition is back and is sure to be fun! Check out our complete guide to the Oktoberfest by clicking here.

Brownstown Speedway – Championship Night will start around 6 p.m. at the Brownstown Speedway and will feature pro late models, modifieds, super stocks, crown vics. Order tickets by calling 603-501-0517 or get them at the gate.

Live Music at Jackson Live – Keepin’ It Country series will begin at 7 p.m. at Jackson Live. Tickets are available by calling 812-521-1282. Brad Magness, Tommy and Heather Henson and more will perform.

Live Music at On the Rox – There will be live music at On the Rox beginning at 9 p.m. with Taylor Anderson and then Killin’ Smalls will play at 10 p.m.


Monday, October 4

Scarecrow Stroll – The first day of Seymour Main Street’s Scarecrow Stroll is October 4. Downtown businesses will decorate a scarecrow and you can view them through the end of the month! Winners will be announced in November!
