October fun is still in full gear! This weekend is about variety, so go out and explore everything this weekend, plus a few things next week!

Friday, October 22

Album Release – Damon Mitchell will release “Like You’re In A Dream” during a performance and release party at 6 p.m. at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery.

Live Music at Harmony Park – Matt Schuerman will play at 7 p.m. at Harmony Park.

Live Music at Starve Hollow – Bad Medicine will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. at the outdoor stage at Starve Hollow State Recreation Area.

Fear Fair – Indiana’s Scariest Haunted House will offer haunts from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Order tickets by clicking here.

Movie Night at Tiemeyer’s Farm Market – Tiemeyer’s Farm Market will show “Casper” and then “Sleepy Hollow” for movie night. Movies are free and start at dusk. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs.

Haunted Trail and Corn Maze – Tiemeyer’s Timber Terrors will offer up its haunted trail and corn maze at Tiemeyer’s Farm Market. All the haunted will being at dusk. Admission is $15 for the trail and $10 for the maze.


Saturday, October 23

Farmers Market – The Seymour Area Farmers Market will be open from 9 a.m. to noon in the Walnut Street Parking Lot.

Tennis Weekend – The Seymour Smash Tournament is scheduled all day at Seymour High School. Click this link for all you need to know.

Church Bazar – The First United Methodist Church Bazar is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 201 East Third Street, Seymour. Browse your favorite crafts, decors and other vendors and get a head start on your Christmas shopping with a handmade gift.

‘Hollow’ween Spooktacular – Starve Hollow State Recreation Area is hosting its ‘Hollow’een Spooktacular from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The schedule includes a pumpkin decorating contest, tie dye making, trick or treating, costume contest, campsite decorating and haunted trail!

Benefit ride – Average Joe’s 4×4 group will host a benefit ride at noon, which will leave from 9647 North County Road 100E, Seymour. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and is $25. It’s a 5 to 6 hour ride (open to Jeeps, Side-by-Sides, ATVS) and there also will be a dinner before the ride, 50/50 raffle, Halloween Superhero competition with awards for best costume and decorated ride. This ride benefits Hannah Roy, a young girl battling leukemia. Information: Aaron Kruse 812-521-5115.

Trunk or Treat – I Care Childcare will host a trunk or treat from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, October 23, at its facility, 1112 North O’Brien Street, Seymour.

Harvest Party – Reddington Christian Church will host its harvest party from 5 to 7 p.m. October 23, at the church, 10516 U.S. 31, Seymour.

Live Music at Brewskies Downtown – Katie Peabody and the Old Reliable will play at 7 p.m. at Brewskies Downtown. Steve Deweese will open.

Live Music at Poplar Street – Matt Trimnell will play at 7 p.m. at Poplar Street

Movie Night at Tiemeyer’s Farm Market – Tiemeyer’s Farm Market will show “Something Wicked This Way Comes” and then “The Fog” for movie night. Movies are free and start at dusk. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs.

Haunted Trail and Corn Maze – Tiemeyer’s Timber Terrors will offer up its haunted trail and corn maze at Tiemeyer’s Farm Market. All the haunted will being at dusk. Admission is $15 for the trail and $10 for the maze.

Zombie Hunt at Starve Hollow – Participate in the Starve Hollow State Recreation Area’s Zombie Hunt from October 17 through October 31. Stop by the Main Gate to purchase your Zombie Hunting License for $5.00 and go on the hunt of an after-life time. Ten zombies will be hidden throughout Starve Hollow and to stop them you must take a selfie with them. Find all 10 and bring your Zombie Hunting License and the selfies back to the Main Gate or the Forest Education Center and if you’re successful, you can choose a Starve Hollow SRA Souvenir Cup or Koozie while supplies last.


Sunday, October 24

Tennis Weekend – The Seymour Smash Tournament is scheduled all day at Seymour High School. Click this link for all you need to know.

Monday, October 25

Downtown Trick or Treat – Join Seymour Main Street  for its Downtown Trick or Treat from 4 to 6 p.m. Bring the kids and visit participating businesses for a night of trick or treating fun!

Costume Contest/Parade – The Seymour Evening Lions Club will host a parade and Costume Contest following the Seymour Main Street Downtown Trick or Treat on October 25. The parade will start at 6 p.m. near the Seymour Post Office and move down Second Street. The costume contest will start following the parade in the Smalltown Plaza parking lot (formerly American Legion Annex).

Fear Fair – Fear Fair – Indiana’s Scariest Haunted House will host a Kids Trick or Treat Night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Fear Fair, 800 A Avenue, Seymour.
