The weekend is here! There’s plenty of opportunity for fun over the next few days!

Thursday, April 18

SICA Open Hours – SICA will be open for regular hours, 1 to 6 p.m. April 18. There’s also the opportunity to work on art during the open hours. While there will be no formal instruction, this time will allow artists and those interested in art to gather and collaborate. For more information call or text 812-522-2278.

Trivia – Patty Bothers Entertainment will host Trivia Night at 6 p.m. April 18, at Rails Craft Brew & Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue, Seymour.

Live music at Seymour Brewing Co. – Mike and Matt will perform at 6:30 p.m. April 18, at The Seymour Brewing Company, 755 West Second Street, Seymour.


Friday, April 19

Girls Night Out – Ewing Unique Boutique will host its Girls Night Out shopping event from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 19, at the store 1050 West Spring Street, Brownstown.

Beer Yoga – Rails Craft Brew & Eatery will host Beer Yoga with Izza Storey at 6 p.m. April 19, at the restaurant, 114 St. Louis Avenue. It’s $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Call 812-569-3938 to reserve a spot. Yoga mats will be available for rent if needed.

Live music at Seymour Brewing Co. – Buck Knawe will perform at 6:30 p.m. April 19, at The Seymour Brewing Company, 755 West Second Street, Seymour.

Music Trivia – Patty Brothers Entertainment will host Music Trivia Night at 7 p.m. April 19, at Brewskies Downtown, 117 East Second Street, Seymour.

Live music at Reed’s Place – The Jukebox Junkies will play at 7 p.m. April 19, at Reed’s Place Steak & Chop Shop, 224 South Chestnut Street, Seymour.

‘Leading Ladies’ – Jackson County Community Theatre will present ‘Leading Ladies’ during shows at 7:30 p.m. April 19, 20, 26, and 27, at the Royal-Off-the-Square Theatre, 121 West Walnut Street, Brownstown. There will be a 2:30 p.m. Matinee on April 21.Tickets are available by clicking here.


Saturday, April 20

Earth Day Clean Up – The Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge will host an Earth Day Cleanup from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20, at the refuge, 12985 East U.S. 50, Seymour. Volunteers should meet at the refuge visitor center.

LJC Pop Up Art Gallery – The Leadership Jackson County Pop Up Art Gallery will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 20, at the Jackson County Public Library, 303 West Second Street, Seymour. Artwork will be on display and there will be multiple categories for people to vote on.

Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday. Appointments can be scheduled through the week by calling 812-271-1821.

Seymour Museum Center – The Seymour Museum Center will be open for its regular hours from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20, at 220 North Chestnut Street, Seymour.

Pastel Workshop – SICA will host a pastel workshop at noon April 20, at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour. The workshops are designed to be for all ages and experience levels. Call SICA during hours at 812-522-2278 for more information or to register.

Crown Vic Special – Brownstown Speedway will host the Crown Vic Special at 6 p.m. April 20, at the speedway, 476 East County Road 100S, Brownstown. There also will be ILMS Pro Late Models, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Hornets.

‘Leading Ladies’ – Jackson County Community Theatre will present ‘Leading Ladies’ during a matinee at 2:30 p.m. April 21, at the Royal-Off-the-Square Theatre, 121 West Walnut Street, Brownstown. Tickets are available by clicking here.

Spring Fling Paint Fundraise – READ Jackson County will host the Spring Fling Paint Fundraiser at 2:30 p.m. April 21, at the Jackson County Learning Center, 323 Dupont Drive, Seymour. The session will be led by an instructor andt ickets are available at the Jackson County Learning Center. It’s $35 for one person, or $60 per couple with snacks and drinks provided. Proceeds go to READ Jackson County, a literacy nonprofit.

Medora Timberjacks – The Medora Timberjacks will host Kokomo during a game at 3 p.m. April 21, at Medora High School, 200 West Block Main Street, Medora.
